FEC to host Chicago conference in August (2017)
The Commission will hold a regional conference in Chicago, Illinois, on August 30-31, 2017. Commissioners and staff will conduct a variety of technical workshops on the federal campaign finance laws affecting federal candidates, parties and PACs. Workshops are designed for those seeking an introduction to the basic provisions of the law as well as those with more experience.
Hotel information
The conference will be held at Westin Michigan Avenue, located at 909 N. Michigan Avenue on Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile. Once registered for the conference, attendees can make hotel reservations online or call (866) 627-8385. The hotel can also be reached directly at (312) 943-7200. Be sure to identify yourself as a member of the Federal Election Commission Conference to receive the group rate of $169 per night, and book no later than August 8, 2017.
Registration information
The conference registration fee is $620 per attendee, which includes a $30 nonrefundable transaction fee. The registration fee increases to $670 per attendee for registrations received after August 4, 2017. A refund (minus the transaction fee) will be made for all cancellations received by August 4, 2017; no refund will be made for cancellations received after that date. Workshop materials
During the conference registration process, attendees may elect to receive electronic copies of workshop materials in advance for use on their personal electronic devices. Alternatively, conference attendees may choose to receive a binder with printed materials at the conference.
