FEC approves Proposed Final Audit and Audit Division Recommendation Memorandum

WASHINGTON – At its open meeting today, the Federal Election Commission approved a proposed final audit report and an Audit Division recommendation memorandum.

Proposed Final Audit Report on Communications Workers of America – COPE Political Contributions Committee The Commission approved, subject to edits made at the table, the Proposed Final Audit Report on the Communications Workers of America – COPE Political Contributions Committee, covering campaign finance activity between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020. The Commission approved findings related to misstatement of financial activity and disclosure of occupation and name of employer.

Audit Division Recommendation Memorandum on Steve Daines for Montana The Commission approved Findings 2 and 3, subject to edits made at the table, in the Audit Division Recommendation Memorandum on Steve Daines for Montana, covering campaign finance activity from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020. The approved findings related to disclosure of debts and obligations and disclosure of receipts.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) is an independent regulatory agency that administers and enforces federal campaign finance laws.
